Mechanic

Position Summary: 

Perform all duties required to maintain equipment to company and DOT standards.  Report all major repairs to supervisor.

There are currently mechanic positions open in Enid, OK and Elk City, OK.

We will direct you to the Driver Application as this position prefers a CDL.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Repairs and maintains all company vehicles and equipment, such as trucks, electric generators, and construction machinery, using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and machine tools
• Diagnoses trouble, determines appropriate cost-effective repairs, and examines parts for defects and excessive wear
• Reconditions and replaces parts, such as pistons, bearings, gears, valves, and bushings
• Manages warranties for equipment and company vehicles
• Maintains accurate recordkeeping
• May weld and cut parts, using arc-welding and flame cutting equipment

Educational and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-3 years of mechanical experience
• Ideal:  5 years of mechanical experience

Qualifications/Skills and Abilities Requirements:

• Preferred Class A CDL drivers license with the following endorsements:
   o Tanker
   o Hazardous Materials
   o Air Brake
• Diesel-Engine Mechanic designation preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing
• Preferred DOT Medical card
• Safely perform correct repairs to company equipment with supervisor’s authorization
• Skilled in the use of mechanic hand tools and precision measuring instruments

Physical requirements:

Position requires physical effort such as that associated with driving a motorized vehicle.  Position requires ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
